Edith is a girl of petite structure, with thin limbs, short height, and a small chest size. Her hair is purposly kept short and choppy so it doesn't get in the way when dealing with her work. It's naturally a reddish brown; depending on the lighting of the surrounding area it could seem more brown or more red. Edith's skin tone is definaty kissed by the light, for when most people stay pale from the indoors or from sickness, Eddie has a healthy peach color to her figure from spending so much time outside.
Her grey-blue eyes are surely large, but not as much as her cat like grin. Conserning her clothing choices, she can always dress warmly. The goggles upon her head are practically always there unless she's sleeping, considering she needs them so wind blown snow never abstructs her vision. Her first layer is obviously her undergarments, followed by a black baggy sweater. This is her main source of warmth. Over that is a japanese style vest that holds all her gear, with a green patterened belt wrapped around her waist. This vest acts as a skirt as well, but as more warmth she wears thick, full length leg warmers that covers her until the tops of her shoes. Each one is a different color and pattern, cosidering that they're two from two different pairs, but she has just lost their matches.
To throw in her own flair, as well as to let others know that she's around (you wouldn't believe how much this long winter frightens people), Edith has tied a neon yellow ribbon around her arm that waves in the wind and can be seen even through a blizzard. Red fingerless gloves match the color of her vest and a golden chocker necklace decorates her exposed neck. It was an expensive present her sister gave her for her sixteenth birthday, constructed of real gold and a ruby gem center. Eddie wears it constantly to remember to fight the winter as much as she can to bring her sister back home safe and sound. [/ul]

brief history.
The only thing that made the Montagues special before little Edith came along was that they shared the same last name of the famous fictional family created by William Shakespeare. From the story Romeo and Juliet, or we should say, Juliet Capulet and Romeo Montague. In natural curiosity of who had the same last name of her this same story was the first book that Eddie ever read all on her own. She was born in the late heat of August to be greeted by a loving father, mother and older sister Alexx.
Just as before, her family was nothing special. Her father worked two laborer jobs; a mechanic and a Furnace installer. He worked on cars and heating while her mother is a registered nurse at the local hospital. Bob worked during the day while Lucy took the night shifts, so one parent could be with their children at all times...even if sleeping. However, a little creation from this everyday family turned out to be a diamond in the rough. At a young age Edith showed remarkable signs of intelligence, learning how to do everything before other children her age knew how, such as walking, talking, and even reading.
Before she knew it the little red head was the smartest in her class. Certainly not the best, since her loud mouth certianly acquired her into some trouble. But all in all Eddie was reaching way beyond her level. They let her skip grades, but she didn't enter competitions or anything, yet her test grades let her become well known. The girl became known as a "genius child". They did her IQ test at an age of eleven and found that the title was certianly fitting.
Skipping ahead to present day, Ed has already graduated highschool with an honors degree...and a hefty detention record. The girl couldn't help but mix colorful intresting chemicals every now and again to blow up the chemistry lab, it was just her curiosity getting the better of her. With the snow problem, most airplanes flights are canceled now a days, so Edith hasn't had the chance to go off to college yet, not to mention that he sister can't come home from college! The young girl works with her father or on her own in the buisness of installing heaters or fixing broken ones. Her family has greatly survived in the wealth department, considering he mother is taking in flu patients every other second and her fathers heater job has never seen such popularity.

The petite girl is always thinking, yet when she speaks you would never believe she is as smart as she truly is. Eddie is a total tomboy, enjoying sports, the outdoors, and any sorts of physical activity. Not to mention video games. During school years she's gotten into more trouble than she can remember by pulling (elaborate) pranks or even getting into fights. She often fought with the idiot football players that didn't believe she was smart or the preppy popular girls about the clothes she wore. Considering Ed wasn't very well off before, but now they're one of the most stationary families because of the winter.
Wild yet serious. Cute yet rebellious. Nervous yet adventurous. Eddie is a loose cannon that can explode at any moment! Often she's full of energy, but since winter has arrived her optimism has fallen down a bit. Still, little Lady Montague is a friendly ball of fun that will at least make an attempt to get along with anyone she meets. However if that attempt doesn't work, she won't hold back against you. She has a lot of pride for what she believes in and will not be thrown down very easily.
Maturity has entered her world sooner than she thought, with her smarts along with the fact that college is more than a blizzard away, her family has put her to work. She doesn't mind it; Edith likes to help those who deserve it. Even if a genius child, she's not what most people would expect. From trash talking to the shortie of the group to being your new best friend, who knew she was smart?

"Thanks, Mister!" The little 'ding' of the store bell rang as she opened the door and walked out of the shop onto the sidewalk with a cheery skip in her step. A few people turned at the noise of the bell to end up staring at the abstract girl with the bright smile painted on her face. The sun shone brightly from above even in this time of the year, making it warn even for the autumn season. School had started already this year, alas, the blond still wasn't reacquainted with any of her old friends, much less did she make any new ones yet. But that was ok, considering after losing more friends that you can could through moving around the world, one learns to accept being alone. It something she kind of grew up with. Koaru had just stepped out of a quaint little candy shop with a purchased bad of sweet treats in one hand and a single lollipop in the other, to which she took off the wrapper with her teeth and let it go over the waste basket nearby for it to fall in by itself. Hey, her hands were full, it was a practical thing to do.
But the bulge in her left sweatshirt pocket jiggled before a cracking around was heard from under the thin fabric. Oh boy, now she was in trouble. Koaru's smiling face melted into a bored expression as she already knew what to expect; this had happened practically over one thousand times since she hatched her shugo chara. The small handsome man floated from her pocket to sit upon her shoulder, finally coming out of his egg from his afternoon nap, obviously to scold her. Jun crossed his legs neatly and fixed his top hat rested upon his dome before turning to glare at the young woman. Koa didn't even bother looking at him, it was a waste of time to, considering she'd memorized the rant he always gave her. So the girl popped the cherry pop into her mouth pleasantly and grinned and its sweet taste coated her taste buds.
His small hand tapped the side of her head, "Excuse me!" Jun attempted to get her attention, which worked as their brown eyes finally made contact with one another. "Miss Koaru, what on earth was that? Opening the mere protecting paper of a sugary treat with your teeth? That's absolutely barbaric!" The girl watched as he cutely threw his hands in the air in aggravation, holding his ruby red rose that matched his tie and the band around his hat perfectly in color. "I'm sorry..." Replaying the scene in her head, the teenager blushed from embarrassment, thinking now that her actions were possibly a bit unnecessary. Jun felt a little sorry for her, she was still young after all, she didn't know any better. Still it was his job to push her along. Examining the pink color to her face and her saddened expression, he supposed she had learned her lesson. He fixed his hair then as he looked away from her. "Also...your choice of clothing still baffles me. Pardon, even beyond that."
People that they walked by didn't suspect anything at all, for only people with charas could see other charas. Koaru wore a rainbow colored outfit, something flashy and noticeable as usual. It was just part of her character. Her light brown orbs looked around the sidewalk, covered with shops and other buildings, and saw no one with a chara. The girl pouted a bit, spinning the lolly in her mouth. Was being your true self really this easy for people? It wasn't true; their egg could have just not have been activated yet. Turning the corner she resumed walking around the town, Jun settled atop her shoulder, looking over he people that passed by, even tipping his hat to the ladies. Koaru giggled to herself; she loved that little guy.
